Stellar Blade beats older Fallout titles to top the charts | Circana April 2024
April was a quiet month as hardware sales dip. But Stellar Blade lit up the charts and older Fallout games are getting new life.
The action game, which is the console debut of Shift Up, was the only one of April’s new releases that made it to the best-seller list, with others like Tales of Kenzera: Zau and Eiyuden Chronicles: Hundred Heroes failing to chart. Both were part of Xbox’s recent multiplatform initiative, in which it ported four of its titles (these two, plus Hi-Fi Rush and Pentiment) onto Switch and PlayStation 5 in an attempt to boost their sales. Immortals of Aveum has also received a huge boost in engagement on PlayStation, rising to 10th most-played from position 291, most likely due to its addition as a free game for PS Plus subscribers.
