SuperAGI snags funding from WhatsApp founder Jan Koum’s secretive Newlands VC


SuperAGI, astartup striving to develop ambitious Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), has raised $10 million in a funding round led by WhatsApp co-founder Jan Koum's fund Newlands VC.

Now, with its research picking up traction with some 20,000 developers — including people at Microsoft, Google, Tencent, Tesla and JP Morgan Chase and OpenAI — using the tools its already launched, it’s landed funding from a notable, under-the-radar investor. Newlands VC, the secretive firm backed by WhatsApp founder Jan Koum, is leading a $10 million Series A for SuperAGI, funding it will use for further research, as well as middleware and software applications that it believes will bring AI closer to working in a wider range of use cases, more reliably.
