Take-Two to acquire Gearbox from Embracer

Take-Two announced today that it has acquired Borderlands developer Gearbox for $460M, over 60% less than what Embracer paid for it in 2021.

Take-Two has published games from Gearbox before under its subsidiary 2K, specifically the titles in the developer’s biggest franchise, Borderlands (which is also about to become a film). We’re thrilled to open our call for speakers to our flagship event, GamesBeat Summit 2024 hosted in Los Angeles, where we will explore the theme of “Resilience and Adaption”.
