Talos – An Immutable OS for Kubernetes

Talos is an operating system for Kubernetes. It is designed to be lightweight, secure, and easy to use. In this article, I will introduce Talos and its features.

Additionally, Talos goes beyond simple SSH administration and provides an API for managing nodes, following the same principle as kubectl with Kubernetes. The talosctl utility includes many tools such as generating a pcap report to debug a network issue, viewing logs, checking the cluster’s status, and more. In addition to Talos, SideroLabs aims to meet the needs of companies to create hybrid and/or multi-region clusters without exposing the API of a control-plane.
