TechCrunch Minute: Boston Dynamics’ new Atlas robot shows off its push-up skills
The latest video from Boston Dynamics features the new Atlas humanoid robot dropping to the mat and doing a bunch of push-ups.
Lockheed Martin is acquiring satellite manufacturer Terran Orbital, taking the smaller company private and potentially rescuing it from running out of cash while facing serious… OpenAI’s newest GPT-4o model can behave pretty strangely, for example by copying your voice, or by shouting or moaning erotically during a conversation. There probably isn’t a big commercial use case for a robot doing pushups, though I did find it both intimidating and weirdly motivating to see how Atlas can just keep going without getting tired or losing form.
