TechCrunch Minute: FTC finds ‘dark patterns’ in subscription apps


The FTC has found that the majority of subscription apps and websites implement “dark patterns” in their designs to continue charging users.

Every big social network and internet platform has been hyping new AI features, so it’s probably no surprise that LinkedIn is moving in that direction,… Elon Musk has said that Tesla has ambitious plans for AI, which will require it to more than double its usage of Nvidia’s flagship AI… A new study from the Federal Trade Commission looks at the “dark patterns” that subscription apps and websites use to get more money or data from their users.
