Telegram Is a 'Scammer's Paradise' Thanks to Cheap Phishing Tools

On Telegram, malicious actors are selling all the tools needed to run a phishing scam, allowing aspiring cybercriminals to get started for just $230, according to cybersecurity startup Guardio.

Telegram, the encrypted messaging app with over a billion downloads and 700 million monthly active users, is home to countless third-party phishing kits as malicious actors use the platform to promote and sell their illicit wares, according to cybersecurity startup Guardio. Back in October, Telegram CEO Pavel Durov said that the company removes "millions of obviously harmful content" daily, in a post defending Hamas' use of its platform.
