Through executive order, President Donald Trump has ended the so-called de minimis rule, which allowed goods worth $800 or less to enter the country without tariffs. CNBC reports that Temu was affected as well, with U.S. shoppers seeing “import charges” between 130% and 150% added to their bills. “The move is designed to help local merchants reach more customers and grow their businesses.”
