Tesla Canada says its shady $43M incentive grab was a misunderstanding


Tesla says there was nothing untoward about its sudden filing of thousands of rebates from a single location in a single day.

Fast forward to now, and Tesla Canada has responded to the back-and-forth claiming that it didn’t do anything weird, simply filed a number of backlogged applications, as is normal for the program. When British Columbia Energy Minister Adrian Dix recently removed Tesla products from a charging incentive rebate program, he stated:
