Tesla Model Y gets cheaper with new RWD model now available

Tesla's larger EV is getting a bit easier to afford thanks to a new rear-wheel drive option that lowers the cost to below $40,000 with tax credits

The new version of the Model Y keeps all the same design changes that Tesla introduced earlier this year, including sleeker headlights and improved aerodynamics that allow for slightly longer range. Tesla lets you configure the lower-end model in the same six colors as the more expensive versions, including Stealth Gray, Pearl White, Deep Blue Metallic, Diamond Black, Ultra Red, and Quick Silver. He’s been reporting on the latest consumer technology since 2015, with his work featured on CNN Underscored, ZDNET, How-To Geek, XDA, TheStreet, and more.
