Tesla recalls over 27,000 Cybertrucks over laggy reverse cameras

This one is fixable with an OTA software update.

Tesla issued a recall notice for the Cybertruck due to faulty software causing a slow-to-display rear camera feed. Tesla Cybertrucks running version 2024.32.5.2 or later could have a condition where the reverse camera feed “may appear blank for up to 6 to 8 seconds” if the customer tries to back up before the vehicle completes a shutdown and boot-up process. Tesla made the voluntary recall after investigating and testing for the condition in September and is issuing a free over-the-air software update to fix the problem.
