Tesla teases robotaxi ridehailing function in its app

It looks like a Tesla version of Uber.

Musk has long teased the possibility of a Tesla robotaxi, even showing off a completely covered vehicle during a 2023 event unveiling the company’s third Master Plan. Years earlier, he speculated that Tesla owners would be able to passively earn income from their autonomous cars by sending them out to pick up and drop off passengers. Today, Tesla’s Autopilot and Full Self-Driving systems require drivers to pay attention to the road and be ready to take control when needed.
