Tesla's Cybertruck is outselling almost every other EV in the U


The only EVs that sold better in the third quarter were other Tesla vehicles, according to Cox Automotive estimates.

But recent sales data from the auto-industry tracker Cox Automotive is worth examining ahead of Tesla's results on Wednesday. General Motors reported surprisingly solid results earlier this week and highlighted strong EV sales. At that time, Tesla was expected to sell about 48,500 Cybertrucks in 2024, based on the average of forecasts from analysts at Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, UBS, Bernstein, and Wedbush.
