The consumer audio industry has almost reached a ceiling in terms of wireless sound quality and noise cancellation, requiring companies to give people other reasons to spend $250+ on a pair of earbuds. According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, the upcoming model may explore features like a heart-rate sensor, integrated cameras, improved health monitoring, a new chipset, and a redesigned case.
