The Boys is getting a prequel series

Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash are coming back to The Boys in a big way.

The Boys ’ fourth season ended on a nightmarish note that made the show’s upcoming final chapter seem like it’s going to its most deranged. But during this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, Amazon revealed that while The Boys may be coming to an end, the larger franchise is about to get even bigger with a prequel series set in the distant past. Paul Grellong is attached to showrun and executive produce the series, which does not yet have a projected premiere date.
