I’d lie in bed under the covers and bathe in the glow, comforted that I’d always be able to jot down my greatest ideas in the middle of the night — or at least reflexively check the time. Steve Stiles, who was CFO of Austin Innovations in the late 1990s, tells me there was no need to license anything else because there was no physical difference between lime and teal devices — just a change in the drive circuit’s frequency.
