The making of Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 - the Ninja Theory interview

Digital Foundry interviews the creators of Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2. How did they create this audio-visual masterpiece?

Digital Foundry: Ah, so that explains what I noticed that in photo mode, if you zoom the camera in really far, you can kind of see it breaks down a little bit, but from a normal gameplay perspective it looks really good. Dan Atwell: And it's interesting that you say that because, when you go into photo mode, you're kind of breaking it in a way, and you've always got to remember when developing a game that it's easy to always be in the debug camera, flying around and putting in detail where you don't need it. It's effectively a 2D real-time fluid sim that takes a height map capture of your area, and then you can basically inject or remove water, time, all that kind of stuff.
