These gadgets got me through the worst hurricane of my life

Small tech comforts got me through big problems in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene.

Having a safe, eye-friendly backlight means we can read and keep entertained after the Sun goes down without having to drain the battery of a flashlight or other light source that's going to come in handy. On the bright side, my solar-powered Ring lights around the house all work independently without needing any help, so we can still walk around the yard at night and have some semblance of security before we eventually get power back.
