Brazilian researchers have created a sensor that can be attached to the skin of fruits and vegetables to check for harmful pesticides. Pesticides are commonly used to increase crop production and are usually sprayed on the plants, but only half of them reach their intended target. The rest end up in the soil, water, and food, posing a risk to human health through skin contact, inhalation, or ingestion.
