TikTok CEO Will Reportedly Attend Trump’s Inauguration As Ban Looms

Report of the TikTok CEO’s attendance at the inauguration comes as the Supreme Court appears prepared to uphold a law banning the platform or forcing its sale.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Washington Post reported that Trump was considering issuing an executive order, after taking office next week, that would delay the enforcement of the law targeting TikTok for two to three months. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and the company’s President Brad Smith had a lunch meeting with Trump and Vice President-elect JD Vance on Wednesday, Semafor reported. The company confirmed the meeting in a statement to the outlet, saying it was “productive” and involved discussions on cybersecurity, technology policy and Microsoft’s planned $80 billion in AI infrastructure this year.
