TikTok is ‘planning for various scenarios’ ahead of possible US ban

TikTok employees have been told US offices will stay open no matter what happens on January 19th.

In an internal memo obtained by The Verge, employees were told that the company is “continuing to plan the way forward” ahead of the Supreme Court’s decision, which is expected as soon as Wednesday, January 15th. On behalf of our HR teams, | want to acknowledge the resilience and dedication you have continued to demonstrate, especially over the past few months as we have pursued our legal challenge of the TikTok ban in the US. I cannot emphasize enough that your wellbeing is a top priority and so most importantly, I want to reinforce that as employees in the US, your employment, pay, and benefits are secure, and our offices will remain open, even if this situation hasn’t been resolved before the January 19 deadline.
