Tiny Glade is all about making ruins
Eurogamer play Tiny Glade's Steam Next Fest demo, and we absolutely adore this magical building toy.
You can make a little citadel, with a wall surrounding a central keep and courtyards and battlements and windows to serenade lovers from, but the moment your cursor leaves the screen it will be clear that what you've built is old and rundown and pleasantly forgotten. The current Steam Next Fest demo offers a lovely taste of the wider game, holding back a few tools and marking off much of the map, but still giving you a lillypond's worth of space to put together a little tumbledown house and an overrunning garden. You can make something unique and characterful very easily here, with controls that seem to interpret your desires so effortlessly that it's actually quite hard to remember what you did: how did you know that specific dragging motion would widen the boundary of a tower?
