Rajesh Kapoor, freshly graduated from high school, was standing at the window of his family’s fourth-floor apartment on Probyn Road, less than 500 metres from the campus, when a giant tin sheet went flying past. The tornado forced city-dwellers like Ghosh, seemingly immune to climate catastrophe, to face the fact that some moist air and a few winds blowing in opposing directions are powerful enough to tear down buildings and kill people.
