Toys for Bob plans to go independent following Microsoft acquisition


Toys for Bob is splitting from Activision and going independent following the Microsoft acquisition, with plans to work on its first game.

Toys for Bob, the studio behind Skylanders and the most recent Crash Bandicoot and Spyro games, announced today that it is spinning off as an independent developer. Our friends at Activision and Microsoft have been extremely supportive of our new direction and we’re confident that we will continue to work closely together as part of our future.” We’re thrilled to open our call for speakers to our flagship event, GamesBeat Summit 2024 hosted in Los Angeles, where we will explore the theme of “Resilience and Adaption”.
