Transmedia adaptations at the Emmys: Fallout earns 17 noms
Transmedia adaptations like Amazon Prime's Fallout and Peacock's Twisted Metal earned 18 nominations for the 2024 Emmys.
The Television Academy also recognized Fallout in several technical categories like production design, costumes, makeup, special visual effects. Neflix’s Arcane, which is based on Riot Games’ League of Legends, also won four Emmys in 2022, including Best Animated Program. With adaptations of Tomb Raider, Like a Dragon: Yakuza, and Arcane Season 2 coming in 2024, critics will have plenty of shows to nominate and continue this streak.
