Trump administration in talks with four groups about potential TikTok sale
President Donald Trump says his administration is in talks with four different groups about the sale of TikTok, Reuters reports.
The ByteDance-owned app’s fate has been uncertain ever since Trump signed an executive order to extend the deadline for the TikTok ban by 75 days back in January. There are several potential buyers, including a bid led by billionaire Frank McCourt, who has support from Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian and Kevin O’Leary. Other parties interested in buying TikTok include a group of investors led by tech entrepreneur Jesse Tinsley.
