Trump warns Apple and Samsung that 25% smartphone tariffs could land in June


But who knows if it will actually happen.

In a Friday morning Truth social post, President Donald Trump threatened to levy a 25 percent tariff on iPhones if Tim Cook didn't move manufacturing to the United States. This broader approach makes a bit more sense than the initial threat against Apple, as it was unclear how the Trump administration planned to place tariffs on one single company's products. Milan Miric, PhD, Associate Professor of Data Sciences and Operations at the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business, explained to Mashable how President Trump could effectively target a single company with tariffs.
