The Apple A19, the A19 Pro, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, and the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 rely on TSMC's cutting-edge N3P process node. According to a new report out of China, TSMC has increased the price of N3P by around 20% vs the previous gen. This price increase seems to have affected Qualcomm and MediaTek the worst.

With the launch of the A19 and the A19 Pro SoCs, Apple showed an impressive gen-on-gen performance improvement, especially in the GPU department. According to a new China Times report, TSMC’s latest N3P “3 nm” process node has suffered a 20% price increase over the last generation. Powered by a mix of Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and the MediaTek Dimensity 9500, these upcoming Chinese flagships could be priced higher than last-gen.
