UK And Germany Double Down On Joint AI, Clean Energy R&D Efforts
The United Kingdom and Germany have turbocharged their collaboration in science, research and innovation with a new series of initiatives.
The joint plans unveiled include establishing a dedicated task force to translate the high ambitions into concrete projects and programs across critical domains like artificial intelligence, quantum technology, clean energy and research security. The British Academy and Germany's Alexander von Humboltz Foundation are also doing their part, announcing plans for three symposia over the next three years aimed at fostering links between early-career scholars in the humanities and social sciences from both nations. "By supporting our brightest minds and leading institutions to work together, we will maximize the opportunities for them to create new jobs, build new businesses, and ultimately deliver a better quality of life for us all," said Donelan at the signing ceremony.
