United Airlines inks deal with SpaceX to provide free in-flight Wi-Fi through Starlink

United Airlines on Friday announced it has reached an agreement with Elon Musk's SpaceX to add Starlink Wi-Fi service to all its planes at no cost to passengers.

United Airlines has reached an agreement with SpaceX to provide Starlink high-speed internet in-flight on all its aircraft in the coming years. The deal is a victory for SpaceX, which has previously signed agreements for in-flight Wi-Fi with smaller airlines, but United is the largest carrier to commit to offering Starlink at this scale. United said that in addition to offering Wi-Fi to passengers in-flight, Starlink's service will also benefit frontline workers at the airline, such as pilots and flight attendants, by providing them with the same internet capabilities in the air that they have on the ground.
