US deploys AI to revoke visas of foreign nationals supporting Hamas: Report

This initiative marks a significant escalation in the US government's monitoring of foreign nationals' behaviour and speech. The effort involves AI-assisted reviews of tens of thousands of student visa holders' social media accounts to identify potential terrorist sympathisers.

Authorities are also monitoring news reports of anti-Israel demonstrations and Jewish student lawsuits involving foreign nationals allegedly engaging in antisemitic behaviour without consequence. Ayoub claimed that the initiative's "blueprint" can be traced to Operation Boulder in 1972, when the Nixon administration infiltrated and surveilled pro-Palestinian groups, violating the rights of both US residents and foreigners.
