US House passes bill that could ban TikTok nationwide


The bill would force the Chinese-owned app to sever ties with China or become unavailable in the US.

A prominent Republican donor, Jeff Yass, is also a major investor in ByteDance and reportedly lobbied the former president to reconsider his previous position on TikTok.
