Amateur snappers are taking Creative Commons-licensed shots of stars to replace bad photos of them on Wikipedia.
Enter WikiPortraits, a team of amateur snappers who have been hitting up festivals, award ceremonies and other events to take Creative Commons-licensed shots of high-profile attendees. X suffered significant outages on Monday, with owner Elon Musk pinning the blame on an attack by a 'large, coordinated group and/or a country.' Sarah Wynn-Williams, a former global policy director for Facebook, detailed the company's attempts to operate in China in a 78-page SEC complaint seen by The Washington Post.
