Wandering around Watch Dogs 2's San Francisco in REAL VR is simply stunning
Ian Higton gives us a rundown of the last three weeks of Ian's VR Corner, including Blade & Sorcery, Captain Toonhead and a Watch Dogs 2 VR mod.
Watch on YouTube It's been a long time since a PSVR2 review code has appeared in my inbox but, two weeks ago, I was able to check out the first-person, tower defence VR game Captain Toonhead vs The Punks From Outer Space. Disappointingly, the PSVR2 port didn't seem to take advantage of any of the system's unique features like headset haptics or eye tracking and as such Captain Toonhead feels like a fun but fairly forgettable budget release. The full body physics and weighty weapons add a huge amount of realism and immersion to Blade & Sorcery and as such it's easy to see why this game has been a steady favourite amongst the VR community since it first appeared on Steam in 2018.
