Want AI agents to work together? The Linux Foundation has a plan


Cisco has donated its AGNTCY, a foundation for an interoperable 'Internet of Agents' to enable disparate AI agents to communicate and collaborate seamlessly. Here's how.

"Building the foundational infrastructure for the Internet of Agents requires community ownership, not vendor control," said Vijoy Pandey, GM and SVP of Outshift by Cisco, in a blog post accompanying the announcement. Agent Observability: A specialized monitoring framework provides visibility into complex, multi-agent workflows, which is crucial for debugging probabilistic AI systems. "The AGNTCY project lays groundwork for secure, interoperable collaboration among autonomous agents," said Jim Zemlin, the Linux Foundation's executive director.
