We are self-hosting our GPUs

We decided to move off the cloud and host our GPUs. Here is the story of why and how we did it.

We're Gumlet, a simple, fast and affordable SaaS for image and video processing, storage and streaming. Our entire software stack is built on CUDA and takes advantage of GPU processing when transcoding videos. We could put the servers on the same floor as our office and they would provide redundant power supply, cooling and internet connection.
