We’re officially getting another Super Mario Bros. movie in 2026

Shigeru Miyamoto announced on Mario Day that Nintendo and Illumination are working on another movie in the Super Mario Bros. franchise. It's set to come out April 3, 2026 in the US and other areas.

Per Google's release notes for Wallet this week, the app can now pull some movie tickets and boarding passes from users Gmail inboxes automatically. This year's new sets include the Bowser Express Train, King Boo’s Haunted Mansion and Battle with Roy at Peach’s Castle. CEO RJ Scaringe said the automaker had taken more than 68,000 reservations for the SUV in less than 24 hours, suggesting a latent interest in innovative EV companies not helmed by Elon Musk.
