What Happened to Egghead Software

It's a quaint business model now but it had its day in the sun

I really didn’t like the manager at that store, so I would have much rather bought the part from Egghead, or out of the back of a van parked in an abandoned gas station for that matter. If you’re not familiar with Gamestop, think of the strip mall closest to you, imagine the smallest store in that plaza, and that’s the size of an Egghead location. But even though the superstores have raised prices and started cutting back on stores, don’t expect this business model to make a comeback.
