What went wrong with wireless USB

Being discontinuous waves, Carson's rule doesn't directly apply to most forms of UWB, but the analogous Shannon capacity limit indicates that rapid modulation from a high PRF would also require significant bandwidth — hence, ultra wide-band. In February 2004 Intel announced the formation of the Wireless USB (W-USB) Promoter Group, composed of themselves, Agere (now part of Broadcom via the former LSI Logic), Hewlett-Packard, Microsoft, NEC, Philips and Samsung, with an aim for products within the next year. (I'll have a note about its PowerPC support a little later, but you can completely forget about it on modern Apple silicon as it relies on forbidden unsigned not-notarized bad-for-ya don't-make-Tim-Cook-cry kernel extensions that will certainly blow up your computer and cause it to sing Virus Alert by Weird Al. Get out your Intel if you want to try this.)
