What’s next for agentic AI? LangChain founder looks to ambient agents
LangChain’s founder Harrison Chase is looking to advance agentic AI with the concept of ambient agents, which might well be the next step on the path to generalized intelligence.
Ambient agents are AI systems that run in the background, continuously monitoring event streams and then acting when appropriate due to triggers, according to pre-set instructions and user intent. “It starts off with a triage step that’s kind of like an LLM and a pretty complicated prompt and some few shot examples which are retrieved semantically from a vector database,” Chase explained.
