Amazon claims the e-reader will offer faster page turns and longer battery life as well, allowing it to last up to eight weeks on a single charge. The 300ppi display on the Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition is not as vivid as that of an iPad, but it’s still relatively sharp compared to the screen on devices like the Kobo Clara Colour, at least in our initial testing. For instance, Amazon’s note-taking device will offer a new Active Canvas feature that lets you take notes directly on a PDF or a page in your book.
