Why has Pokimane quit Twitch after a decade of content?
The gaming stream queen is hanging up her mouse and quitting Twitch, but what will she be up to now and what are her other interests?
Imane Anys, or Pokimane to many of her nine million followers sprung a surprise by announcing she is to leave Amazon’s Twitch platform after a decade and concentrate on other, as yet unconfirmed things. However, in November last year Poki also launched a “healthy snack alternative cookie” company, Myna which was widely criticized for being expensive and provoked a tirade from her calling those complainers “broke boys”, which sparked further backlash. Having spent time as Head of Communications at a professional sports club and working for high-profile charities such as the National Literacy Trust, he returned as Managing Editor in charge of large US-based technology websites in 2020.
