World’s 1st solar-powered fuel delivery truck runs 8 hours on sunshine
Dubai oil company ENOC has unveiled the world's first solar-powered delivery truck for its biodiesel deliveries.
The innovatively powered truck was unveiled at the ongoing Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) 2024 at the World Trade Center in Dubai. With customers in over 60 markets, ENOC Group subsidiaries are engaged in activities like refining, lubricant blending, and aviation – industries with heavy usage of fossil fuels. The photovoltaic panels on these trucks can generate 1.3 MWh of energy annually, which roughly translates to an equivalent reduction of 6.6 tonnes of carbon dioxide.
