World’s most efficient water electrolyzer prepares to be mass-produced | This new electrolyzer design is 20 percent more efficient than its peers and will make green hydrogen even more accessible.

Hysata found its electrolyzer delivered 98 percent efficiency, so the 95 percent efficiency is more likely to be achieved in real-world conditions.

Hysata, a New South Wales-based company that makes electrolyzers, has announced its latest breakthrough: It can generate hydrogen with a whopping 95 percent efficiency. The company recently raised Series B funding and is now preparing to make green hydrogen available at a large scale around the globe. This is why the International Energy Agency (IEA) has urged countries to switch to hydrogen as fuel and broaden its application in areas such as long-distance transport and heavy industry.
