X is launching a TV app for videos ‘soon’
X CEO Linda Yaccarino announced on Tuesday that the new app will bring "real-time, engaging content to your smart TVs."
X, the company formerly known as Twitter, is launching a dedicated TV app for videos uploaded to the social network soon. The upcoming app launch is part of Yaccarino’s efforts to turn the social media site into a free-speech “video first” platform. The announcement comes a week after Truth Social, the social media platform owned by Donald Trump’s media company, also unveiled its plans to launch a live TV streaming platform.
