X is removing the ability to hide checkmarks for premium users


X is sending notifications to paid users saying that the feature that lets them hide the bluecheckmark will go away soon.

Last week, the company removed the section describing how to hide the checkmark feature from the X Premium support page before sending notifications to users. Earlier this month, the social network started handing out blue checkmarks to influential users with more than 2,500 “verified” followers. Essentially, the verification program is headed back to where it started — verifying notable people.
