X is rolling out support for 4K video uploads

X is now allowing select creators to upload videos in 4K resolution, and will roll out the feature to all premium subscribers soon.

Until now, paying subscribers could upload 1080p videos up to 8GB in size and roughly three hours in length, according to X’s support page. But with support for 4K resolution uploads incoming, the platform might change the size limit for subscribers. The platform also rolled out a dedicated feed for vertical videos, replete with a shortcut on the home page of its mobile apps, earlier this year, trying to capitalize on the uncertainty around TikTok’s ban in the U.S.
