X is working on its own version of Zoom for some reason

X s testing its own version of Zoom, called X Conference.

Based on Park’s screenshot and description of the tool, it sounds like it’s a fairly basic version of multi-person video conferencing compared with Zoom or Google Meet. App researcher Nima Owji also spotted the feature earlier this month, posting a screenshot that indicates X Conference will support spatial audio and have built-in captions. X has repeatedly struggled with technical difficulties during high-profile streams, like Musk’s recent talk with Donald Trump.
