xAI starts offering Grok to US government agencies
Just days after apologizing for Grok's recent hard turn toward antisemitism, xAI has announced a suite of AI products for government use.
It will also develop specialized AI applications for use in healthcare, fundamental science and national defense, as well as offer models that can safely be used in classified and restricted environments. Despite President Trump threatening to cut Elon Musk's companies off from government subsidies over their recent public feud, xAI says it already has a contract with the US Department of Defense. The company's products are also available to purchase through General Services Administration schedule, which means every federal government department, agency, or office can potentially access its models.
