Xbox price increased at major European retailer, prompting fears of wider rises
A major European retailer has raised the price of Xbox consoles overnight, prompting speculation of a wider price hike.
Xbox fans spotted the increases at French retail giant Micromania this morning (thanks, ResetEra), and noted that each model was now €50 more expensive. The suggestion here is that Micromania has pushed an imminent price rise live early, before Xbox announces the changes itself. Sony blamed that change on "the backdrop of a challenging economic environment, including high inflation and fluctuating exchange rates".
